I remember my appreciation for the work of professional sport photographers in publications such as Sports Illustrated (among others) going back to when I was a young athlete.

I put that interest on hold for many years, as I concentrated on raising a family and getting established in my career. But I always thought that when the time was right, I would quite possibly get into sport photography, which combined two things that I always loved. After my 14 year stint of coaching football ended, I found that my photography interest was again pulling at me; grabbing my attention.

After purchasing a camera, I found myself going to local games with camera in-hand, snapping photos purely as a hobbyist. Then I decided to get serious. I spent a considerable amount of time researching what I needed to do to improve the quality of my images. Over the last couple of years or so, I have gained more experience, added some accessories and upgraded my equipment and editing software to the point where I finally feel that I can produce images that are of the highest quality and be able to deliver them to clients at a very affordable price.

What I love the most about sport photography is the same thing that I loved about coaching; it enables me to continue to be around the kids and the sports that I love.

I look forward to capturing some great moments of our kids on the gridiron, the diamond, and the court and I hope to see you there.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Mike Roberts
